More Awesomeness From Craigslist

You know, you have to admit. It is great that these egos and idiots write out their manifestos, so you can see them coming a mile away and not have to waste your time.

I tried to make this same point on an earlier thread, but you've stated it much better than I could have.

Obviously alot of these threads we are looking at are jokes, but it's scary how many are probably really represent someone looking for musicians to abuse.

This is my fave from HC classifieds. This guy has been posting variations of this ad for years. I knida want to answer just to meet him and check out his lair.

THESE OTHER ADS ARE PERFECTLY BORING!!!
Captain Beefheart, Robert Plant, Howard Kaylan(Eddie), Roger Daltrey, Ella Fitzgerald, Gilbert and Sullivan (as composers), Pete Townshend, Tom Waits, Bill Monroe, Howlin' Wolf, Morrissey, George Jones, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, Burton Cummings, Les Claypool, Ralph Stanley, Al Jolson, Merle Haggard, Arthur Lee, The Youngbloods, The Zombies, Fleet Foxes, Television. I like these people. Whatever that tells you about me is fine. But Dont ****ing judge me, because I am above it. I am a singer, I want to work with people who are not incredibly old. I love music and I want to meet with people who are intelligent, artistic, weird, funny, clever, and preferably talented at something musical even if you are an exceptional tupperware player. Jazz, blues, funk whatever, I like good music. Or rather, the music that I like is good. These are the only criteria for the music I want to be a part of. That doesnt meant I want to make music that is technically proficient, or music that is horribly childish, it means I want to make music that is both. The artists above, some of them at least, were members of groups that were very popular many years ago, which would in some circles gain them the label of "classic rock". **** that. To put The Who and Led Zeppelin on a list that included Bon Jovi or Boston? Disgraceful. The above list is of bands, singers, and people whose voices I dig. I wont go into any more about me or my abilities here, only if someone emails me about themselves and has questions. I am 24 male by the way. TA
