I’m going crazy here and I NEED to be on stage again.

I play both guitar and bass and will play either in the RIGHT band. I have pro gear for both and am meticulous about sound. I am as diverse musically as they come and on any given day can go from listening to Los Panchos in the morning to Reverend Horton Heat at lunch and finish up some Tool at night.

I’m open to different styles, but more importantly I’m looking for a band that has a sound I can BELIEVE. I know it exists here in this city, its hidden away, but it does exist.

So if you need a guitarist, bassist (electric or upright), shoot me a message. I also double as a bouncer if your band needs people kept in check.

Lastly and most important………

NO COVER BANDS!!!!!!!!

I am a Drummer with no drumset at the moment. I may be getting something soon, but nothing right now. I'm looking for a Band that has a drumset and just wants a drummer. Originals and Covers are Ok. I'm actually a Simple player so I can't do a whole lot, but I have the potential to get good, just need to jam more!!
So if you have some simple songs or just wanna jam on some music and you have a drumset, give me a ring!!

ROFL...Sometimes I play drums on the steering wheel of my car...I think I'm a simple drummer without a drumset too, anybody wanna jam?

When I first saw that picture on the CL ad, I didn't agree with you... checked out her myspace, and you are right. And I'm 15, and definitely a lot like her in some aspects... but what really turned me off her is that I can spot an attention whore from a mile away... and she isn't one. What's the bet we'll see her hanging from a noose in the not too distant future?

Hey I'm a drummer but I don't have a drumset at the moment..I'm not the best drummer, pretty much a simple straight forward, some fills here and there, but I really love to jam and I'm reliable and easy to get along with. So if u have a set and just need a drummer then I'm your guy.

A guy came up to me the other night when I went to see a friend's band play to ask if I was looking for a drummer. He told me that he owns a pair of sticks, a high hat and a floor tom, but will own the rest of the kit in about 3 months.

I remember watching some Steely Dan doc on Aja. When they started the band they put out an ad that said: "Jazz drummer wanted. Must have chops. No hang-ups". I liked that

When I see an ad that's really wordy and full of bitterness and negativity, it's a big turn off. That's just me.

crappy guitar player/crappy singer looking for crappy bandmates

i'm 18 going on 19 i'm not in school right now so my schedule is pretty open. i'm not very good at guitar (i'm much better at drawing)and i'm worse at singing. i know a handful of chords but i can bust a jam or two. just looking to make some friends and make some music for the **** of it and learn along the way. I am looking to write simple "indie" songs with funny lyrics but i can punk out and rip it up when necessary. it would be fun to learn enough songs to play some small gigs. i'm not looking for fame or fortune, just looking to come up with some kinda experimental-ish new sound. my favorite bands are radiohead and nirvana, but i'd say my main musical influences are like NO AGE, born ruffians, crystal antlers, other random genre bending stuff. i know this probably sounds kinda lame but if you're interested in trying to make some music hit me up!

by the way i've got 2 guitars, a huge peavy amp and a teeny little amp. i've got a bass, snair, and tom tom. 420 friendly. i'm just looking to have some fun.

Look here, Hudson Valley. I'm tired of answering ads on these pages only to find poseurs, geeks and acoustic folk acts who want me to change my unique playing style to match their style. It's time for a band that is as unique and forceful as I am, and I'm taking no prisoners.

This monumental effort will require the cooperation of a thunderous bass player with the mind and skills to keep this beast of a freight train on its tracks while a talented drummer will unleash an unrelenting hailstorm of destruction down upon his kingdom of percussion. The band will need to be as focused and driven as I am, willing to meet two, perhaps three times a week. When I host a practice session, I treat it like an Ultimate Fighter match, where nobody leaves until someone taps out. If you think you've got the endurance and fire to keep up, then bring your best, but be warned... I don't let up, and I don't want to share a stage with anyone who will.

As you can see from my picture, I wear chain mail to protect my body from the rigors of extreme playing. When you step up on stage with a true performer like myself, it's like stepping into battle, only instead of swords and arrows, we fight with 32nd notes and pinch harmonics. So in a way, the chain mail is largely symbolic, but my legions of fans have come to appreciate and expect it. You may don similar armor, but only if it fits the theme (no hockey masks or umpire's vests).

You are expected to have suitable gear. If you can see the top of your amplifier, don't bother answering this ad. It is expected that you will have a commitment to tone that approaches mine. (would be impossible to exceed, to be quite honest) I have a pedalboard that is ten feet long and would not dare sacrifice a single effect for the sake of portability. My pedals are alphabetized so that I can easily find them in the middle of "battle". Behringer up front, Zoom at the end. When you've been in the business as long as I have, you tend to come up with little time-saving tricks like that.

So that is my decree. I know that many of you will mock my demands and continue posting your offers and requests for lesser musicians. You may continue to carry on at your own leisurely pace, hoping for a shot at a coffee house or open mic night. I will not rest until we have our own stadium on the moon, with amplifiers pointed towards the sky's infinite expanses, so that we may truly rock the galaxy. I wish for you to join me on this epic quest.
