Most aggressive bass tone?

Dave Curran from Unsane and Bob Beeman from Stick Men With Ray Guns are two of my favorite "aggressive" bass tones in the context of a band. I know there are band with lead bass and no guitars with really over the top distortion, but I like that thick, grindy, punch in the gut sound in the context of a band, especially if there's really not a lot of over the top distortion in the guitars and the heaviness is more in the riffs and the overall mix.

I've always liked the first 8 bass notes at the beginning of Running With The Devil - Van Halen, it's got a bit of kick to it.

I love this tone. I use a Sansamp BDDI and one of my settings is based on this tone. I think it is the tone that really got me into playing bass. Funny how it's only one note but as a young high school kid listening to it at insane volume it somehow spoke to me. This was when the album 1st came out and VH turned music on it's ear as far as I was concerned.

Geddy Lee. Listen to Countdown on Rush's Signals album, that tone is epitome of aggressive bass tone. Most aggressive sounding passive basses will always be the 1970's Rickenbacker 4001s. Ceramic magnet pickups + maple body and neck + roundwound strings + bi amp rig = LOUD, IN YOUR FACE, and THUNDEROUS bass tone.
