Lemmy, with a cheerful nod to JJ Burnel on the early Stranglers stuff, who sounds like a house falling down. And just to clarify, I've seen Lemmy, Joey DeMaio and Geddy Lee live many times, and Lemmy is far and away the most aggressive sounding to my ears. I love the other guys as well though!

Most aggressive bass tone?

I am surprised to not see Frank Bello mentioned here.
Seeing Lemmy doesn't surprise me.. It was a toss-up between him and Joey DeMaio for me.. but I think joey just sounds more AGGRESSIVE.

To me, the intro to "Sober" by Tool (D'amour) has to be the most aggressive bass tone... heavy as hell geez. Really, all of Undertow is that way as well. 
R.W. Ruiner Severhead, High Bass for "JESUS FIST", has been known to sculpt some sickeningly aggressive bass sounds.
He's also been known to say, "As long as Scarlett Johansson likes it, I don't give a $%&* what you think!".

+1 on Nate Newton from converge... that was the first one I thought of. He typically uses a stingray, though I've seen him a few times with a Ric, I believe.

+1 it's hands down between DD Verni of Overkill, Jeff Walker of carcass on the swansong album listen to "Childs Play" or David Ellefson's Rust in peace bass tone that is just pure agression and probally the greatest bass tone of all time IMHO or possibly the guy out of king crimson's bass tone can't remember his name
My vote too. The dude from Young Widows has a pretty awesome/aggro tone as well.
Dick Lovgren, Meshuggah. I have extolled the virtues of the sounds this fella generates on numerous threads, but what the hell.
The bass player of ceremony has a great aggressive tone, however i dk how well know they are outside of CA. Anyone here a fan?
