I think it looks cool, but I couldn't in good conscience play that with 38spcl casing fretmarkers when 357 could have been used just as easily.

Might as well go with .480 Ruger casings.

The Steampunk model has too much going on for my tastes, but I could actually imagine playing the "Vintage Cross" model. Clean lines without all the purely aesthetic extraneous stuff that is thrown onto to Steampunk model.

Given the design, they are missing the boat by not going the extra step and making the wing section under your forearm adjustable, like the heel on the stocks of high end target rifles.

I must admit that is pretty darn cool.

I bet it weighs a lot (more than I am comfortable with).

I was thinking they would probably be very light with the aluminum skeleton and open spaces where you would typically have solid wood.

Here's a very short trade show video. It starts with guitars but gives you a good look at one of the basses at the end.

That body looks modular, just a couple screws holding each piece on there, with the centre area housing all the important bits. If that's the case, weight would never be an issue, you'd just take a piece or two off if it were too heavy!

I didn't notice that, but I think you are right — a 12A7 in a little "light box" backlit with red LEDs.

I agree - that is my fav too - LOVE the hardware colour....stunning. I think IIRC, the red one was around 9lbs too - so decent weight.

It looks like it could belong to the world of Arcanum (the classic cRPG from the '01). Nicely done, excellent attention to detail without being overdone (like a million cogs and whatnot).

I think buying it with resale intent is not happenin. I know a USA dealer had the red one on the website and dropped their pants on it when i showed interest (last year or longer) - so they even struggled to sell it. Its an art piece and i think that is how it needs to be appreciated - but something you can also take out of the glass cabinet and play once in awhile. The top two are pretty bad a$$ lookin though - i think all aluminum too - just an art perspective of awesomeness i think

It reminds me of something you'd see used in a band in Star Wars. I like their vintage cross just under it though. Aluminum center block and bolt on everything, neat idea...but probably heavy.
