Might as well go with .480 Ruger casings.I think it looks cool, but I couldn't in good conscience play that with 38spcl casing fretmarkers when 357 could have been used just as easily.![]()
I was thinking they would probably be very light with the aluminum skeleton and open spaces where you would typically have solid wood.I must admit that is pretty darn cool.
I bet it weighs a lot (more than I am comfortable with).
Also LOVE the patina of the hardware. Really fun work.
Notice nobody said Nut Width yet? Your eyes are drawn to other places.
I didn't notice that, but I think you are right — a 12A7 in a little "light box" backlit with red LEDs.is that a 12ay7 in there?
I agree - that is my fav too - LOVE the hardware colour....stunning. I think IIRC, the red one was around 9lbs too - so decent weight. The Steampunk model has too much going on for my tastes, but I could actually imagine playing the "Vintage Cross" model. Clean lines without all the purely aesthetic extraneous stuff that is thrown onto to Steampunk model.

Given the design, they are missing the boat by not going the extra step and making the wing section under your forearm adjustable, like the heel on the stocks of high end target rifles.

Those are some pretty post-apocalyptic lookin' basses!I'm kind of partial to the Tony Cochran designs in the steam punk vein. Seem more "authentic," not that I'd ever buy or play one.
Tony Cochran Guitars for sale
Checking their site I found this.I think buying it with resale intent is not happenin. I know a USA dealer had the red one on the website and dropped their pants on it when i showed interest (last year or longer) - so they even struggled to sell it. Its an art piece and i think that is how it needs to be appreciated - but something you can also take out of the glass cabinet and play once in awhile. The top two are pretty bad a$$ lookin though - i think all aluminum too - just an art perspective of awesomeness i think
there are bout 20 pix of that one online...its awesome too
