Seriously Saw and Hostel dont even compare. The torture scenes in this movie are so intense I cant even describe it. It is not for the faint of heart. What really trips you out on this movie is that unlike in SAW and HOSTEL where the bad guys are just SOB's torturing people. In Audition the main charector tortures people becuase she had messed up things happen to her as a child, and you kinda feel for her a little bit. However she is so twisted that you feel screwed up because you feel bad for her.

The last scene from Sleepaway Camp?

Why are people saying Amelie? I love that movie- what's disturbing about it?

Nobody has mentioned any Todd Solondz movies. Just about any of his films especially Happiness.

Dude is messed up. He himself is disturbing in interviews, let alone his movies.

All the most effed-up films I've seen have been Japanese - Audition, The Ring (the original version, the remake was rubbish), The Grudge (same deal), Ichi The Killer, Battle Royale... very few Western horror films have had that effect. Then again, I'm pretty desensitised to most horror films nowadays - I tend to just laugh at blood'n'gore movies... they need to be twisted and psychological to get to me nowadays.

A Scanner Darkly- based off the Novel by Phillip K Dick, a true sad story along the lines of Requiem. Unlike Requiem though, my dad got truly upset after watching and had to leave the theater. He knew a lot of people like that and it brought back horrible memories.
