Most "embarrassing" song.....

BFE Nebraska is short for "Bum Fornication Egypt, Nebraska". Substitute a different "F" word in the middle.

edit: "BFE.... it's not the middle of nowhere, but you can see if from there."

When living in Southern California, we defined “BFE” as anywhere 10 miles or more outside of Los Angeles/Santa Monica and Orange County.
For example: “I’m not driving to Norco to play a party! That place is out in BFE, plus people out there ride horses and drink Schaefer beer. F*** that!”

For what it matters, I actually live not too far from Egypt.

The Fraggle Rock theme song. I learned it for my kids when they were little just goofing around. Well, this past Sunday at sound check the sound guy called me out and I just started playing it without even thinking. Everyone was like “what is that?” . Well, I’m honest so I told them and everyone got a good laugh

Here's the entire cast of the 1987 animated FR series. Met Rob Paulsen (Pink/Yakko) last year and Barbra Goodson (not the pink one, the other power ranger voice) who was Red is in the middle. Hehe
I go to One Con a year, but meet such fun ppl

I'm not offended in the least (tho' you seem to be). I realize what you were doing with your rhetoric and applaud it. As the sheriff in Cool Hand Luke said, 'What we have here is a failure to communicate.' And if I played a role in that, my apologies.

I'm serious here - what constitutes 'embarrassment' in this context?
My intent is one you wouldn't readily offer up to your buddies/band ates and POSSIBLY LIKE the song. . IE you're in.... Idk a slayer cover band, yet you know every garth brooks song. And you NEVER playplay them outside your home.

Short of that, not necessarily something you hate, but mb if a video leaked of you playing it to ppl not in your band or flipside, youryour home you'd be beat red.

Hispanic Oompapa music is better known as "tejano". (Pronounce the 'j' like an 'h'.) I describe it as Mexican Polka.

I learned of tejano when I lived in San Antonio, which has a very large Mexican population and a lot of Mexican heritage. (That's why I refer to is as Mexican polka.)

For the record, I can't stand tejano, nor polka, for that matter.
That IS what I'm talking about.
We just call it oompa cause we're corn shucking crackers (THOUGH TECHNICALLY only Georgians are crackers)

Thank you. We are discussing extremely guilty pleasures, then.

I guess at my advanced age I don't get embarrassed easily by what I like, tho' it would be embarrassing if I woke up one morning and found myself in a Slayer cover band. What sort of bender would produce that sort of thing?

thanks for the UNITED STATES label :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
I HATE THAT KEYBOARD. New phone, dbls and screws up my typing if the Samsung keyboard switches on. And I'm a dumkopf American. Despite living abroad for quite awhile when young, dumb, and 21 (my souviner is a Junior in HS!) I just assume I'm the center of everything and no other country exists LMBO (It is in my profile if really THAT curious,, but yes. NE =Nebraska. Lesson to ALL YALL
I know ppl from DELAWARE who thought NE was the STATE of New England
That happens A LOT. It's embarrassingly sad.
Nor North East.

We may have the wind blowing 340 days of the year, often nor'easters, but no state named that.

It gets MORE confusing when I speak about cities, I use airport codes. Except NOLA. Can't call that its dumb code, as a former New Orleaner.

Mr Braithwaite started his career upfront of a band called Sherbet... kinda Kiss in a Barbie Dolls haute couture collection (capes n' all"). Also high on the list of Aussie indiscretions of the 80's was the No. 1 hit Shutupa Your Face. A true journey into multiculturalism!

At least it's not the Wiggles! Though I much prefer.... I HATE my brain.. .It's a trio, 2 Brothers, and 1's husband. Silliness, Aussie. Used to not have access to it here in the states until YouTube had been around about 5 years!!

Now I feel the need to post the ONLY song I TRIED to learn on guitar, by chords And Tab with no luck.... Srsly watch and READREAD THE Subtitles their norweigen
My husband and I just LOVE this... I'm scared to say who it is, due to the one song EVERYONE (but NE) HATES...

years ago my band were playing a wedding and we had the set list all sorted.... then 2 weeks beforehand the groom shows up at a band rehearsal... and said his new mother in laws favourite song is 'True' from Spandau Ballet... and said he'd score a lot of brownie points if we could play it at the wedding.
So we learnt the song and played it and never played it ever again! - I can't stand the song!
