"Consonant Collision" would be great too; maybe "the Punctuation Perverts" would serve as well. Oooh! OOOH! "The White-Space Waistoids!"

Mentioned in a similar thread, but the band I'm in now, the Chalkboard Monkeys. We're all current or former educators. I did NOT vote for this.... 
I played in several different lineups of the Subterranean Ontology Quintet, none of which had five members. I suspect if we'd ever evolved to a 5-piece we would have changed the name.
My favorite band name, the one I'm most proud of to this day, was the New Wave/No Wave ensemble I led from ~1983-85: Any Two Words
We would invariably get booked with other local bands whose names, once viewed on a bill next to ours, looked pathetically unimaginative as if they'd just hastily thrown any two words together. Yeah, I guess we could be pretty smug about it.
I played in Debris and in Ragnarök long before either of those band names became seemingly commonplace, so while it's comforting to think of myself as a trendsetter it's annoying when people confuse my work with other bands'.
Not my band, but we ran a battle at our school and the band was called 'Dear Sex Offender.'
I also had a gig with a band called 420. You can guess the reason why they picked those numbers. In talking with them, they chose this name purely because of the marketing potential and not for any cannabis related appreciation.

Dr. Leonard's Buffalo Show. A partyin' country rock band. I could tell you endless stories... but I'd probably get in trouble. Still have a T-shirt, it's looking kind of old, so am I.
In the early 80's I was in a hard rock band called Rosie Palmer. We had bumper stickers that said "Til You Go Blind". We played throughout the Southwestern U.S. Occasionally people would ask where Rosie was, assuming that there must be a female lead singer after whom the band was named.
30 years ago (more or less) when the band I was in called The Guinea Pigs broke up, the lead singer/main songwriter and I decided to carry on as an acoustic (more or less) duo. Certain turtles were very popular then so we became The Middle-Aged Mutant Ninja Guinea Pigs.

My first band in 1965 we called The Assassins but our parents made us change our name so we became The Strange Reaction.
I really like the name Shayds Of Grey. It's a perfect name for an old guy band like I am in. If it wasn't so deplorable I woulda stole it and used it.
