Mr. Black Bass OD

All this cutting lows talk is one thing. I really don't think it'll be an issue for me. The flavor is what I'm gonna be after. I'll know pretty quick if it's "the one" for me. I did pay the price for it. But if it works out, it could be awesome. I'll find out soon I guess. I was gonna go after a bearfoot BBBOD originally. But then the mr black caught my ear and I totally bit when I saw "only 3 left!!" Haha
Ah, so you're the reason there's only two left. When I first saw it on sale I passed for a couple days. After all, do I really need yet another OD? But at $99 with only 50 made I bought it for its rarity. I actually had planned to keep it locked away with my other rare pedals. But after plugging it in to see what it sounded like I was hooked, especially when I used it to drive other pedals. It actually changed my approach to the whole idea of dirt in that it made me really appreciate low gain articulation rather than the grindy mess so many other pedals can be, especially in a mix. I know I don't need to remind you, but please post your thoughts as soon as you can.

I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Does anybody have a demo of one doing slight breakup? In the audio files earlier in this thread it seems like the low end is quite removed. Is the bass knob really dimed?
Bass knob is dimed from the 40 second mark to the end of the clip. I had it at 3 settings, bass knob at zero, at 50% and at 100%. the drive is where you see it in the picture...around 9:30 or so.

I hear the low end in it with headphones. I'm hoping it gets thats tone in the second demo but with the the ability to get brighter. Also, the last few seconds you played in that second demo @MGR, was the pedal still engaged?? THAT sounded noice. From 1:12 to the end. Sounded so good!

I had the treble knob only 3/4th up so there is the ability to get brighter. A LOT brighter actually. Too much for my taste which is why I have it down a bit.

And yes, the last portion was with the pedal on. The gain knob was at zero but the volume was pumped a little to compensate for lack of gain. Probably the most sensitive knob is the volume knob. There is tons of volume on tap.

Dude, that tone. The last few seconds. That is what I'm looking for. Yum-my!

Oh yes. Daddy likey. A lot. Just got it. I could tell right away, I'm gonna like this pedal. A lot. Very nice flavor. I'm gonna go play some more. See you guys in a bit!
Awesome! Very glad you like it. Heres the pic again of the setting you liked.

Glad you like it... it's a great thing that we have different strokes for all of us folks! I just received a Wampler Low Blow... and am looking forward to putting it through it's paces at a music session tonight!
