I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
First off,
YES I did search (a lot) and re-read the FAQ's but can't find the answer. (i'm sure the answer is there somewhere, just can't find it)

Q: How do place multiple quotes in a single post?

I can only do one quote at a time. I've tried holding shift + quote, nothing. Tried control + quote, not! What am I doing wrong?

thanks,
smogg

OK,
how's this for scary?
Went to bed last night and this thread was in "Off Topic." Wake up today and the thread now resides in the "Customer Service/Forum Usage Issues" section. There most definitely must be a tear in the fabric of space/time as I was unaware of this part of the TB universe. Makes one consider what other wonders are here that have been over looked.
Let the quest for knowledge continue. :D

(In my best Scottish accent) "Ya canot defy the laws of physics Capt'n, she'll not hold together long"

I've lost count at this point...lol

To make this really fun...how about this.

You can multi quote from other threads into whatever thread you want too.

:)

Now I'm just lazy, but still curious. #36 I think

just trying it

I can't figure it out either, maybe because I'm always on my IPhone, can't remember if I've tried to multi quote on the laptop.

Either way I can't figure it out and it sucks.

So this is the best help I can get from the smartest minds on the planet? I feel so.... so... so disillusioned! :o  ;)

I hate you guys. I hate you guys so very very much......

:scowl::rollno::scowl::rollno::scowl:

OMG
the backwards post just made me spit beer out my nose...lol, (damn I hate wasting beer) :bawl:

So are you trying to reverse the time loop? Wish you NASA guys would chime in, we could use your help (please). :D

This **** takes forever

LMAO
OK title changed to "Multiple Quotes"
We have learned that the multi Q will carry over to a next page.
We also learned the quotes will appear in the order they are selected.
And, it is probable that this feature could be infinite thus creating a time loop.

Knowledge is a dangerous thing and science can be scary. :bassist:

So yes I can edit the title or yes we are now stuck in a time loop?

Man, this can go forever

Yes! At this point its best to, like time, continue moving forward, lest someone trip...

Uh - oh, I may have created a rift in the time/space continuum.

ooops, Can we edit a title?

Wouldabeen good if you titled your post Multiple Posts so other could find the answer that you couldn't.

Dont bother! At this point your error, and its correction, will be displayed in the infinite time loop that is this thread.

May as well let it be!

Hey, I just noticed...the quotes are laid out in the order in which you click the multi-quote button. Neato!

Longest single page ever.

Oh dear Lord, the spelling police have arrived :D Let me go back and fix it. LOL

Holy carp!! And to think that all these years I was just manually copying and pasting each time I wanted to multi-quote.

sh... I'm going to multi-quoting like a demon now! Mwahahah

I like the multi-quote button then I hit "quote" on the last post.

Sandpaper is coarse.

Not sure, the experiment is up and running :)

Yup, sixteen so far.

LMAO,
guess we are going to have to let this run its [DEL]coarse[/DEL] course now, eh?

And... will it work when you have posts spanning over more pages to multi-quote?

Well, twelves not the limit...

Oh yes, we have created a monster!.
Thanks all for playing
:D

It's a tidal wave!!!!!!!!

I usually memorize all the posts I want to quote and retype them as I am replying.

I'm actually curious to figure out what the limit might be...

This is going get ridiculous pretty quickly...

...Oops. Too late.

I simply click on people's posts with the quote button and make a separate tab, and then one by one I cut and paste into my "dialogue" tab which is the one that gets posted.

Aka multi quote of doom thread!!!

It's easy as learning Japanese!

Hmm, simplicity trumps custom in action, folks!

Click the "+ button (to the right of the quote button) in the bottom right of each post you want to quote. Then, click the post reply button. Each quote you've tagged will show up in the reply box.

I generally left click on the quote button > open in new tab, and then cut and paste into one reply box.
I know there is a multi-quote function, Im just accustomed to my ways.

That should be 40.

This reminds me of the old school, pre-V Bulletin message board "threaded view".

Or could have done it like this.
I'm mad with power at this point!
Mwaahahahaha

:)

can you show us how to do this? please please please :hyper:

Good point. It does get hard to follow after a while. Guess that's why they figured out a better way to message, eh?

can you show us how to do this? please please please :hyper:

Sure!

-Go ahead and it the + for any post in any thread you want.

-Head to the thread you want to post to and click reply.

-at the bottom of the reply window, there's a message...it reads:

You have selected 3 post(s) that are not part of this thread. Quote these posts as well, or deselect these posts.

Choose your option. Once you click it, it will populate the window with all of your quotes. Check below for some randoms I pulled from other threads/forums on TB:

Shop used. A 410 with a 300+ watt head is the ticket.

What about the bottle size? Are there any characteristics inherent to bottle size?

I'm looking for a different way to get the slap sound without sacrificing too much speed.

My days at the con on piano and sax ended up giving me wrist problems so the slap motion isn't the easiest for me to do.

So far I've thought of the idea of smacking the top of the string with my finger tips instead, which works alright, but I'd like to know if anyone has found anything else?

that is just too cool and insanely dangerous at the same time.

Must....resist........use....caution........universe....could....implode.... :D :help: :D

Maybe if enough time has passed and the original stuff was so bad that no remembers it you might could pull it off. Or if not. perhaps a new "market" to unveil the new stuff?

As long as the bass in manufactured in either Scotland or Ireland; is black-n-maple fretless, it will be the best bass when wearing plaid. :hiding:

I luv mint, specially in my mornin' coffee. While sitting at my truly stunning black-n-maple mojo table. (with tweed back chairs of course) ;)

LMFAO....I feel like a kid in a candy store...lol
What fun could be had at others expense, Mwaahahahaha :D

Disclaimer: JK about others expense, statement just seems appropriate in the current context. ;)

carry on....

i could do this before but ever since the new lay out upgrade.. hence zombie thread resurrection
what does the "+Quote" button next to like and reply even do? it just lights up red but i dont see it changing anything. help?
it selects the posts so you can easily multi quote in a single reply. select '+Quote' and then in your reply click on 'insert quotes' below the message box
