I'd like to be a part of this club.

I grabbed this Eldorado Gold Classic 4 from a TBer. It has a roasted maple neck and ebony board. It was a Guitar Center commission, but don't know how many were made this way.

It is a heavy beast (10+ lbs). It is currently getting looked at because there is a buzz that adjusting the truss rod isn't eliminating. Anyone suffer this?

And what makes the two-band EQ superior to the 3-band?

1. GC usually ran 12-24 of a custom run (YMMV). When I purchased mine I was able to track down 13 of them, so I'm guessing 14 were made. The first number is mine. (See Below)


2. The tone controls are flat at dead center. They are a cut and boost. There is no detente in the middle, so this has to be done by feel. This was one of the first boost cut systems and it adds flexibility.

It was a band with a Spanish singer who played a vintage Stingray with a pick and fingers. It was a kinda cheerful and awesome pop song. Does anyone know what it was or who the band was? I've been trying to find it for a long time but with no luck.

This is what I've been looking for. Fantastic song, isn't it? I have no idea what it's about but it sounds so cheerful and optimistic. And the bass sounds pretty great.

I bought it from the British Basschat site, and I just wanted you guys to see it.
I'm a little confused about the body wood, and I can't tell if it's walnut or ash. All the hardware's been gold anodized and it has aged pretty well. The neck is straight as an arrow, and there is minimal sign of wear.
The serial number is B021439 and, allegedly, it was built for a known artist. But who believes these things. Nonetheless it sounds amazing.

I'd say that's ash. Have not heard of walnut Sting Rays, and it looks too light under the nicks to be walnut.
