Sorry its just wrong. If you just pay asking then these deals are not every corner you turn, but still happens as I mentioned I had one local pop up not long ago and 2 on here within the price range. You have to talk to people and work a deal and its very possible and not rare to the point of being a unicorn deal. Im sorry in your reality that they cost a good amount more I guess I cant help you. Have a good day sir.
I have a dozen really nice basses here, all but two are USA made in 1983, 1985, 1987, 1989 1990, 1991, 1992, 1992 on up to my 2004 USA SUB.
I paid $40, $65, $150, $200, $279, $300, $325, $375 and my most expensive one for $600.
My used 2010 Indo made Vintage Modified Squier Tele Bass was $125 and my immaculate used 2019 Indo made Squier Classic Vibe 50's Precision was $289.
Pretty sure I know how to find a good deal on a used bass.

Your leaving out the context of when you payed those amounts and for what models making those arguments not really mean anything. I could have grabbed all "really nice " "USA" peaveys for all those prices and claim I bought all these great basses for "deals".

We get it your amazing and a better human being. Im not going in circles anymore. You have your reality and I have mine. Your firm in yours and thats great for you so we agree to disagree. You keep paying 1500ish and Ill pay what I pay.
The most expensive bass I've ever bought was $608 for my USA SUB.
That doesn't change the fact that the price for used MusicMan basses has gone up in the last two years.

I acknowledge the public asking has gone up. And that doesn't change the fact that ones still sell for 1k that are publicly priced over there selling price and ones are still publicly posted around 1k without negotiating. Now have a good day enjoy your SUB.

The public asking has gone up on everything and it has stayed that way with no real downturn for two plus years.
The law of averages says that people are paying more for used instruments, bikes, cars and trucks, landscaping equipment, tools, homes, kayaks and lots of other things.
Please stop telling me to have a good day while arguing with me, it comes off slightly ungenuine. ;)

Im trying to end going in circles with you. You believe what you want and thats fine but then you keep responding attempting to converse which seems..... stupid. So good day we disagree.
