Crap, I forgot to post a photo here of my BA-5H. Oh well, better late than never. This is a killer bass in every sense.

I would love to see it available in a HSS configuration! Perhaps someday.

I love that BA. How does it play and feel compared to a Steling?
Which pickup config do you favor?

The neck profile is similar to a Sterling. It honestly plays and feels great. I think the SSS has wonderful versatility.

I love my big al, only improvement would be an 18-19mm 5 string! On a related note I saw a new Albert Lee guitar in surf/seafoam green with two HB and thought it was beautiful. For some reason that combo made its unusual looks really come together.

Hey guys, where do you buy aftermarket pickguards for your Big Als? I'd like to get a tortoiseshell one for my 4H.

Yes sir and Im hoping that one day they have the Al in a HH configuration although the three singles sound awesome. What do you guys think of the single H version?

I love the single H. I've owned a Stingray 5H and Sterling 4H and I like the sound out of this one the most. It doesn't have the slightly weaker output of the G string which I experienced with the other 2, and is way more versatile. The Bongo preamp seems perfectly matched to it too.

I haven't played the SSS Big Al yet, but it's definitely caught my attention... I'm gonna be in NYC in the summer and will hopefully try one out then!
