After trading my old Stingray for a 55-02, I quickly traded that for another Stingray. From now on, I only have eyes for Musicman basses.

)Mine is a '93 (and it's not the "above mentioned fretless"). None of the pots are noisy, but they all have lost the feel of the center detent to varying degrees. I purchased a set of replacement pots from Ernie Ball ($35) shortly after I bought the bass a couple of years ago, but attaching them to the circuit board preamp is beyond my capability and I've not managed to get the bass to the shop yet to have it done.Reason for posting now is that I was wondering about the EQ knobs of the above-mentioned fretless and their centre detents/notches. On mine, they are very pronounced and there is a very defined click when I either rotate the knob through the centre or go to the centre position.
