must everything "pop"?

Not having every piece to evolution doesn't mean one (a scientifically uneducated one) can reasonably claim we came from poop.
Maybe poop provided food for our evolutionary ancestors, but how can poop turn into something that makes poop? Lumber doesn't make trees.
The question of the chicken or the egg is somewhat of a conundrum.
Chicken or chicken poop is simple. Chicken first.
And why are you pushing the feces man? While I can't give you the missing link, can you give me a scientist (well respected, meta-analysis, etc) that purports the poop>human view? Honestly can you?
If not your music is bad LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL

lol look at all man has accomplished. Not one thing we can say we've done beneficially for the Earth, only to marginally pay it back. Thats pretty ****. And you know how they say "like father, like son"? Like ****, like ****.

or how about "you are what you eat?" Food also came from the dirt. And dirt has a lot of fertilizer (aka, ****). therefore, we eat a lot of ****. and, we are what we eat.........

You are making non sequitur arguments.
Humans are shi*tty is different than humans are sh*t. And my diet is mostly pesticides and meat and fruits and vegetables, not poop. What do you eat?!?!?!

Not all pop music is sh*te. I'm a big fan of Gaga (Only her live stuff, the studio stuff that she actually releases not so much), Jessie J, Bruno Mars etc... because they're all actually talented musicians and vocalists. There is a lot of sh*t out there, like there is in every genre, but there's a lot of good stuff to, in my opinion.

the ratio of good pop to bad pop is my issue, however. you can't argue music that was "pop" thirty years ago has a bit more merit than that of today's.

For years, there's always been the discussion in my family of "entertainment vs Art". My folks have always been enamored with pop vs......"real" music. By real I of course mean with content.

These days, it only seems to decline. I'm waiting for single note performances from Lady Gaga before walking off the stage.

Yet again, my family is entranced this morning watching an interview with Pitbull, harkening back the old conversation of "entertainment vs art".

"with your talent you can make and do what can make you a success when you stop trying to fight it". It seems to be the only words I hear these days.

Viral videos. Autotune. Synth Music. Programmed parade music.

A brief response out of the few I came back with was "......And enlayered with a thin veil of glitter, a fart abruptly emerges".

DO PEOPLE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD HAVE A ****IN APPRECIATION FOR REALITY ANYMORE!?

Well, there is something for everyone when it comes to 'music', the lady gaga disposable pop kind of thing, and a more substantial side to it all.
I don't think that there is something wrong with any of it I just chose to not listen to some of it.

Honestly, I think the level of outright narcissism is truly appalling. Every new song/video seems to be, "Hey look at me. I'm hot. I'm xxx, I'm xxx, I'm xxx."

It's just outright propaganda. I suppose if someone needs to call it art to feel better, they are entitled.

Now everyone thinks they can make music (Pro Tools doesn't help much). Real housewives of whatever, wherever? Check ("Don't Be Tardy To The Party!").

Considering that they're a vegetarian death metal group whose pro-animal/anti-human, and they try repeatedly to assert that man came from feces, they are at least putting forth something they believe in. They are explicitly animal rights focused, even going so far as to put slaughterhouse audio clips in their material. Gaga's only arguments she's exhibited publicly is that homophobia should be less prevalent and that bullying should be stopped. However, like the article I'll post below, the only thing being increasingly more flamboyant is accomplishing is putting a bigger bullseye on her back and the fans of hers that believe her views:

Exactly. You can't name any songs. Which is one reason saying there probably aren't many at all.

Putnam is involved because AC is going to be the first example people look to in order to push this whole "nobody wants to listen to metal" argument.

You're the first person I've had a debate with on this website who has brought up AC.

Also, regarding Gaga, would you even have heard of her views and her message had she not had the overly flamboyant persona she has? I doubt it. Also, using some one's personal blogspot blog to support your argument is about as legit as me going and grabbing some 12 year old's video blog from youtube talking about how awesome Justin Beiber is.
