Thank youMy 2020 Squier 60s CV mustang is around 7 lbs.
Thank youJust a note if you don't know about it, but if you buy from Sweetwater you can look at individual basses and they list the weight of each one. I'm not pushing for them or affiliated with them, just sharing.
The Squier CV Mustang I'm assembling will be right around 7 lbs. It has a Bronco neck but I don't think that will affect the weight significantly.
Thank youMustangs are lighter than Ps and Js, but if it's just weight you are concerned with there are a whole lot of short scale options these days.
ThankyouMy Mustang PJ/LE is 7 lbs 8 oz, my first version Mustang PJ is 7 lbs 6 oz and my MIJ Mustang is 7lbs 11 oz.
I had a Squier CV '60s Mustang for a while that was 7lbs 2 oz.
I didn't notice any difference when playing them.
Thank youMy Mustang Player PJ is a little over 8lb, probably 8lb, 2 or 3 oz.
Thank youMustangs are typically just a pound or so (and sometimes way less than a pound) lighter than other Fender basses, particularly Precisions, so the short scale would be the reason to use one. Jazz's can be a little weightier.
