My 78 musicman case does the same thing. So I bought a new musicman tolex case for it.
I guess that makes me fall under the "rotate the case" class.

This thread has given me a wonderful idea, i should patent the idea of a Robot Hardsell Case that could do wonderful things, one of them would be:

Remind you to rotate your bass out of the case more often.
