My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

I put on my DR extra long hi beams from BSO on my 35" Lakland today.
The B string taper goes all the way around the tuning post and some of the fatter part of the string after the taper goes around too.
So the other strings look straight at the headstock area but the B string's thickness around the post is causing it to curve slightly rather than looking straight like the others.
Is there anything bad about this or just a visual difference?
Hope i made sense.

Shouldn't be a problem, ever seen a Warwick, Spector, or Ibanez?

But did you string through body?

Long scale DRs will fit 35" scale no problem.. I used them on my string thru body millennium. If you strung your Lakland thru the top prolly why it there's extra winds, shouldn't affect anything though.

Kudos to Jason once again as I received my string order in a little over a week!

Outstanding service considering the strings are coming from California all the way up to Toronto, Canada! Plus I save about $6.00 per set instead of buying them locally, which of course are never in stock anywhere up here anyways.

Regards,
Paul Theriault

Got my string order today, really wasn't expecting them till next week, unfortunately my mailman arrived just as I was heading out for the evening after waiting most of the day now I'll have stay up late to install them for worship tomorrow morning.

Well,

I have made a few orders to bassstringsonline with a good success by the past. I mention that I leave in France and was really happy with the fast service, easy to order on their website, good prices, good choice, etc...

But a few month ago, one of my purchase was lost
I have told basstringsonline 3 times about that. First answer was that the packet will arrive, second also and I never had answer for my last email
I don' t think the packet will arrive now, it generally takes a week or less...

I don' t want to do a prejudice to bassstringsonline business, I think it is a good and serious string seller; adding that the lost packet was obviously sent (tracking n° available) but simply never arrived in france
Only bassstringonline can ask usps to see what happens

Also I' m a buyer who never had what he have bought and lost money
It needs to be clarified

And hey I really want to continue to order bass strings from bassstringsonline in the future !

Please message me privately with your order information. Through the site or via eMail. You have not lost any money, you just chose to post that you did without contacting me first.

We stand behind every package. It is best to contact me directly.

Here is something to note about international shipments. First Class Mail international has NO delivery window. It can take anywhere from 2-12 weeks for delivery. There is NO step by step tracking (so the USPS cant tell me or you anything), I can not open a claim for at least 45 days and that takes 90 days for a resolution. Most companies do not offer this service for this very reason.

Priority Mail International is sometimes faster, however it can take just as long, and the same applies, tracking is not step by step, and the delivery window listed is not guaranteed and depends on customs in your country. Most companies do not offer this service for this very reason.

International Express Mail is the only service that offers step by step tracking and has a firm delivery window. Most companies only offer this service, but I really do not want people to have to pay close to $50 for a single set of strings.

In the future please let me know so we can arrange for Express Mail International shipping if you want a firm delivery window.

And like I said, if you want to contact me directly we stand behind our shipments but I see no messages about a missing international parcel.

International parcels do go missing rarely and we take care of it, but you need to message me about it first.

We have found international shipments to be very reliable which is why we offer First Class Mail international delivery service. It unfortunately can take a while. Many instances a notice is sent that a parcel is available for pickup but the customer either does not receive the notice or does not pickup the parcel. It is rare for a package to go missing, but like I said, we stand behind every package we ship.

Since this has been made a public matter I am posting all of the details.

Order placed on 4/30/2013 6:31:29 AM, Shipment notification sent 4/30/2013 3:23:32 PM.

When I saw your order come through I noticed you added a single D string and $3 was added as if a full set was added so we refunded $3 of the shipping charge as I didn't think it was fair to be charged $3 for the addition of a single string.

You contacted us June 12th, replied the next day.

The message in July 25th, I know I was out of the office then. I am not seeing a reply so it is possible I missed this one when I returned and I apologize for missing it.

I replied to your PM with an offer to re-ship the package via First Class Mail international the service you paid for. I also am giving you an option to pay any additional amount for a faster shipping service. Can re-ship this order on Monday once I hear the method you prefer.
