My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

Jason, I have a few problems with your site!

1. I ordered a few days ago and I've already recieved my order!
2. Prices were the cheapest I've found.
3. A rewards point system??? Who does that?
4. The shipping I paid for was the shipping I got.

What's the deal bro? I know there are strings attached!!!!

:D

Thanks for all you do Jason!

I just had a great transaction with Jason. I had emailed him about an item that was not on his site. I saw he carried the brand but not what I was looking for. Not only did he email me back and tell me he had it but, he also gave me the best price I have ever seen. Also keep in mind this all happened within about ten minutes. Talk about some seriously fast response to emails! Thanks Jason for the great service.

Question for Jason or anyone else that has useful input . In your experience, do pressurewounds stay lively for a good period of time? I have always been impressed with boomers longevity as far as brightness goes.

Having had tapes and flats on my 1962 jazz and finding them lacking harmonic content I recently slapped on some pressure wounds. Trying them because this bass has never had rounds on it in fifty years and I wanted to keep fret wear to a minimum. I've got to tell you, the pressures exceeded my hopes tone wise by miles. This 62 sounds amazing with these strings. It sounded amazing with flats but too subtle in the mix. The pressures bring it right into the slot.

The question is, in general, do people find that they stay bright and lively long like boomers or do they darken quickly ala Rotosound? Base your answer as per your assessment of long lasting; as in, not how many months, but as in what you personally experience. Short lived, medium life, long or exceptionally long before overtones evaporate :).

I'm thinking of putting them on a couple of other basses of mine and would like to get some insight on lifespan of their sparkle.

Yes, they do. Too long for me, actually, I really wanted them to lose some of that brightness, and they didn't. I finally took them off in favor of Rotosound SwingBass 66s. Stainless, even, if that tells you anything about Pressurewound brightness.
