My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

More raves here, I needed some help sending a gift from GSOL, and my request was responded to within a few hours (on a saturday), and the gift should be on its way soon. :)

Im still working on getting my guitarist and drummer hip to guitarstringsonline and drumstuffonline.

Nothing but good things to say about BSOL. JAson was the one who tipped me to D'Addaroio extending the straight section on their long scale strings to accommodate longer, "long scale" basses. Great prices & service.

Had a new string go bad a month after purchase, Jason to the rescue and the new string is on the way.

BSOL is the best!

Agreed. If someone else was the best you'd be reading a thread called: My Experience with ThatPlace.com

Everytime I order from Jason I get the best CS I've ever had in my life. Got a problem with a string? Jason will make it right and/or contact the company to make it right!

The dude is sick. Viva la Bassstringsonline.com!

Recently, I had the most outstanding purchasing experience ever and I have Jason at BSO to thank. A last minute problem with my gear only hours before catching a plane with my band made me feel almost hopeless. Jason did everything that he could and then some to help me out. He showed a genuine kindness and concern like I rarely see. It's impossible for me to say enough good things about both Jason and Bass Strings Online.

Much love for BSO, had a bum string taken care of quickly. Sent the bad one off today. Ordered new strings upon the recommendation from Jason, labellas on my grabber f'in rule! Ordered them Thursday got them today....fantastic!

The Dunlop Americana picks are the bomb too!

I love new sticker day!

Based on research here, I ordered strings from BSOL on Monday. To my amazement, they arrived today - less than 48 hours time! You can't fault that kind of service; that was as fast an online transaction as I deem possible.

I went with DR Sunbeams. I play a lot of blues and Southern Rock, 80% plectrum and 20% fingering, 0% slap. I use a '93 MIM Fender P-bass into a Markbass CMD-102P and I'm expecting some monster tone from these strings. Going to do a thorough cleaning and setup at the same time.

Great service, very happy new customer!

EDIT - Loving the strings. Goes from sweet and deep to aggressive snarl easily. Will be staying with DR, next time I'll try Fat Beams or Lo Riders. Will probably avoid Neons as I like to slide. Still, so many choices!

.
I placed an order with BSOL a week or so ago, paying their regular discounted prices. I was happy.

A few days later they had their "10% off" weekend.
I posted here reflecting that I was disappointed to have missed out on the weekend special.

Jason immediately PM'd me asking for transaction details. He has given me store credit for the discount I would have gotten if I'd placed my order a few days later!
Talk about going "above and beyond"!

With customer service like this, and all the other positive comments I read about them all the time, Bass Strings Online will take over the world I'm sure!

Been buying strings BSOL for a while now. Recently started using Dean Markley Blue Steel's and figured since I needed a new set of string I could probably get those ( i thought they were pretty common) at guitar center. GC website has them listed at about the same price it would cost from BSOL + shipping so I figured I'd hop over to GC on my break (I work basically around the block form it) and grab a pack. NOPE. They didn't stock it and offered to order it. Figured, fine, didn't cost me anything extra to do so. took nearly a week to get them. Would have taken 2-3 days from BSOL for exactly the same price. Learned my lesson. Even cheap strings I'm getting from Jason.

Jason, thanks again for having a super awesome website. I sure am sorry I didn't buy from you this last time.

they are really close to where i work, so i order and get them in the mail the next day or the day after depending on when i order, it beats the heck out of spending 9 bucks on gas to drive to gc or to have some local shop dude try to sell me brands of strings i don't use or that are the wrong gauges

What would be the smoothest feeling stainless strings out there? I'm leaning towards the Fodera set, but wouldn't mind some input. I'm usually a nickel string player, but I'm not quite satisfied with the tone I'm getting anymore.

i think you will love the DR hi beams. stainless steel but without the high tension of a typical steel string due to it's round core. my string of choice.
