* action is perfect (for me)-- low, zero buzz
* fret work is some of the best I've encountered
* electronics are quiet and easy to dial in usable tones
* ramp (I had them add a ramp) is nice (swamp ash that matches natural body finish) if a bit closer to the strings than I'm comfortable with. I've removed it for the time being but plan to sand the flat side (bottom) down about a 1/16".
Overall, I couldn't be happier. I spoke with Joe Z a couple of times in the past few days. He expressed regret for the delay and appreciation for my patience (he was too kind on that point perhaps
). He even sprung for 3 day delivery (his cost) so I wouldn't have to wait til late this week for ground shipment.It's a very nice bass and I think I'm gonna like it. BTW: there's a mail room in the office building where my business is located and had them weigh it-- 7lbs 10oz. Light for a baby, but IMO perfect for a bass!
