I agree with some guys here, i´ve definitely seen worse.
Here´s mine, it´s not the best i´ve seen, but i think it looks
fine, and some fellow Bassists do too...

I think yours is way WAY over the top....there is far too much wear on the front for it to look anywhere near convincing.
The key with relicing a bass, is to make it look like it has become naturally worn from years and years of gigging, not to immediately draw attention to the fact that it has been artificially worn down (like this). The after market pickups make it look even less convincing.
My relicing is FAR better than your command of the English language!

That's a real nice look, did you relic that bass up or did that wear come from years of playing. Frankly IMO I like the look of a well played bass over one that if the owner scratched accidentally they would feel bad about for three days. I would love to see more pictures of a well used bass posted. Basses are meant to be played not hung on a wall, again IMO.SO what if the guy likes his Jazz with a Crispy-Style?

He didnt really ruin the bass, If you think about it, when pros relic a bass they essentially do the same damn thing. Sand, make whatever marks they need to. Sometimes they won;t go so far, but this was his first, Let's see you do better...
Keep it up man, the front is great, the fretboard is as well. Do something to that headstock. For the back; the body went a bit to far, and then neck isnt too bad, dont use a blow torch though =P. Oh and I'm not sure about this but try finding some kind of solution that goes on fine and dries a bit darker, so that the wood looks a bit older. ( for the neck only)
But overall great job.

Good Lord! Lighten up!
I would never take a blow torch to my bass...or sand it to make it look like it was used more than it really was. I think that more members should frown upon this crap. Protect a pure and innocent bass that has been unmolested.
