Aaah...yes, I have very fond memories about getting to first bass. That feeling...you'll never forget it! However, it leads to a condition called "G.A.S."

Be careful Bro. That's a lotta bass to be found in the trash like that. I kinda agree with the poster that said it sounds like a woman threw her lover's baby out to hurt him. That bass has too many personal touches for some one to just toss in the thrash like that. Don't be suprised if your approached on a gig with it with claims on it. Also, before you take that out, check to see if it was reported stolen because if it was lover's scorn, most likely the owner will report it.

Lol, looks nice! I thought it might be either a Dean Sledgehammer or a Warwick of some sort, but the headstock shape doesn't really match either of them. Have fun with it!

No inlays on the neck....not very many brands out there with no inlays......should narrow down the selection....
You don't see much out there stock in the way of necks that have lights in the side....I'm guessing these are powered by the onboard battery?
Not saying you should but.......if at some time the neck gets taken off for any reason....there might be further identifying info under there.........or if you take the electronics cover off and have a look under there.....

This does not look like professional work to me : electronics compartment not fitting well, same for the pickup, neck joint looks weird, uneven string spacing at the nut, pickup not centered under the strings, etc. Do you usually see this on a factory/luthier-made instrument?

Yes! bdwgmi it was found in the trash… I have no clue what others are thinking, was just laying there and I almost yelled at my wife to stop my six year old wanted to get out of the car but all I wanted was to take the axe and get home.
ZenG I spent over four hours looking for any sort of other bass that resembles this and the warwick is very close.
Scourgeofgod, Going to many guitar shows I believe I have seen the logo also but where I don't remember, I will have some more shots below…
Spectorfreak that was the second thing I did was to put tension on the neck. the axe needs new strings the "A" is cut too short and I can't get enough tension.
deeptubes, my name is Pete and I have been playing guitar for over 30 years… yes I am house poor and could not afford another axe… So this is a stroke of whatever you all want to call it.
Now! tonight I spent a few hours setting the axe up and I was adjusting the intonation when I discovered that there are two frets close to the octave that need replacing they buzz as if they are worn down. Despite the warm feeling about guitar players, believe it not when I am in the room with other guitar players all I want to do is leave. the egos are a bit much for me… I look at what I am doing is as if I am a student of life and can learn from the old as well as the new. But I am always open to learn. I really want to play bass for a while I want to see where it brings me in a new understanding of music. I believe that what I know on guitar I will bring it to the bass. I believe it just might change my life…
