Normally I'd rough it on the bandsaw, drill corner radii on the press, then use a router with a template and a 45 degree bevel bit. It's been too cold to play outside, so I roughed with a jigsaw and used my cordless drill for the corner radii. I beveled it with a razor knife held perpendicular to the surface (scraping instead of cutting). A little sanding on the bevel with 320 and 600 smoothed the chatter marks.

The only thing I could see me changing is possibly changing the nobs to silver ones, or green ones. May have to get some nobs anodized green to get green ones though.
Nice workmanship. I agree it is hideous. In a good way if that's possible. Looks a lot better than the black one.
