Hope this doesn't seem too far out of context, but the mention that Mr AC recently added a CNC machine brought to mind a situation I had a few years ago.
I made custom knives by hand for a few years, was doing pretty well, and decided to improve my products with the addition of a 3 axis CNC mill. The learning curve was a bit steeper than I'd anticipated, and shut me down to the point that I designed a new model of knife, both because of the increased potential of the CNC technology, and the fact that I couldn't take the time to digitize and program the parts I'd been making by hand. The new knives were exceptional (in my opinion) and received a lot of praise from the knife collecting community.
However, my sales dropped considerably. In asking for opinions among the other makers and collectors, the consensus was that while the new knives were pretty good, even better than my hand made ones, they weren't handmade, and therefore of lesser value. Lesson learned, the hard way, though I continued to put out a quality product until I gave it up entirely.
I'm wondering if Mr AC has had similar issues, and that in the changing of location and the move to CNC, is so distracted by major problems we couldn't be aware of, that a big mistake like this was allowed to happen.
Best wishes for a satisfactory resolution to this, for all parties involved.
Tom
