It was very reasonable, about the price of a new Fender 62 RI jazz.

This bass "speaks" differently than any of the many jazz basses I've owned. The E and A almost sound like a P bass with more clarity but with all the round thump. Despite this, the string to string tonal balance across the strings is very even. The sustain is crazy on this bass, even with flats.
The Nordstrand pickups have a great growl that complement that natural warm roundness.

Yeah, I have tought about that, but it would be very expensive...and also, this kind of thing gets hard when you are not there personally to say how you want the instrument to be.
