I've lost my mind again, I've mentioned this crazy idea a few times on here, but I can't seem to stop myself from attempting it, already have most of the parts.
Combine these into one bass:
One used black Epiphone Jack Casady:
A Hipshot Supertune bass bridge in black:
With the Ghost-loaded piezo saddles for a Hipshot A:
A matched set of Curtis Novak Dark Stars on either side of the existing pickup:
Any ideas on how to get all that chrome changed to black?
And to top it off, 4 Hipshot black ultralight cloverleafs:
A black replacement pickguard:
And whichever sounds better at the moment:
The thinking:

The thinking:
- Stereo output, pure unadulterated existing Jack Casady pickup and circuitry on one
- Dark Stars and piezos on the other, able to be selected in any combo / mix (may take an outboard switchbox, might be tough to find the real estate on board).
- Move output jack to the side, use that spot for a rotary switch.
- Double up the existing controls using stacked pots
- Add another stacked pot hole or two if necessary
- Possibly using Schatten roller pots under the pickguard if I run out of room.
- Oh yeah, replace the gold speed knobs with black, for the tops of the stacked pots (make them fit somehow)
- Below the black speed knobs on the stack, make my own custom under-knobs and stain them black.
