I’ve never played any Verellen products, but I semi-regularly play a venue that’s next door to his shop. I’ve heard good things, but I have no interest in hauling heavy tube gear around to gigs.

I’m sure some people will prefer the old one. That’s fine. It happens every time someone changes logos. A while back when Spencer changed the 3Leaf Audio logo it was met with mixed reactions. Same with the Seahawks here in Seattle. I’m clearly putting myself in good company
Those of us that happens to check out drummers' stuff will remember last year's winter NAMM, where Sabian presented their new logo. The outrage on Instagram and Twitter over the fugly thing even had someone suggest the change was just a publicity stunt and that they would keep the old logo.
Being a Sabian fanboi I'm not sure how I missed that one. I've got a full spread of their HHX cymbals on my kit. 14" Click hats, 16" studio crash, 18" studio crash, 22" Omni ride, 10" splash and will be adding a 20" Zen China to the mix soon. I purchased all of them from Memphis Drum Shop so that I could select the lightest weight ones available for each model since I prefer lighter/thinner cymbals whenever possible. Such great brass.
Fittingly I just got an email from the graphics company and they're installing my new logo this afternoon!

It’s not a bad idea. I just threw that new IG profile picture on there without much thought. I like your idea better. Slightly terrifying thing just happened. I'm in the studio doing some work and I realized that I didn't have the HRV (fresh air intake and exhaust) turned on. I've had the controller sitting on my desk for a long time. It's supposed to be recessed into a wall in a plastic enclosure. I didn't want another box-sized hole in my sound isolation so I was always planning on mounting it in a wooden box and surface-mounting it to a wall in front of my desk. It was working fine as-is so I've never bothered. Tonight I thought I'd move it (for some stupid reason), and some metal contact on the back the controller box touched the metal base of my LED monitor. A small arc, then a sizable spark and a little bit of smoke later and now I have an HRV that won't turn on. I'm guessing the controller just needs to be repaired, but a definite bummer regardless. Makes me question the UL certification on this unit if it can so easily arc like that.

I know very little about electronics, so I'm not entirely sure what happened. As @beans-on-toast pointed out there's possibly a fuse in the controller circuit that blew. The controller isn't singed or anything so it wasn't that much of a shock, but still... I'm at a loss and not going to fix it tonightAn electrified contact unfortunately or something shorted?
