My Next G&L Should be??

G&L 2000 gets my vote. I have an original model, converted to fretless in the late 80s. Played it forever. Playing custom Spectors now, but still break out the G&L for some fretless work from time to time.
Believe me the L2000 is way more bass than a Fender IMHO.

I've been playing only 2 years and now know that I perfer G&L's.. I have these 2 USA Models:

1. Lb 100 - Roased Neck and Body.. see pics... I love this damn thing
2. Mj4 - and I love this thing ALMOST as much

My question for this group is what final model would be good to add to round out the whole G&L bass spectrum sound.. I don't plan on playing metal, Funk or Polka... ha

Please advise and love this forum for all I have learned!

Be aware that older models had a 12” radius board as the default, while models from the past several years have a 9 1/2” radius as the default. While I believe the newer ones aren’t as well built as G&Ls used to be, I do highly prefer the curvier boards that they have.

Like several have said, the L2500 is an outstanding bass. I have a late 90's model and it still sounds great. The good thing about G&L is you have so many great choices. Happy hunting!!!

I don't think so. The early stages are difficult however.
One tends to try to compensate ones own shortcomings by buying loads of stuff rather than working on overcoming these shortcomings.
Seen all the time, that.
This in turn puts the ball firmly in the court of those that actually work on their playing and get gigs which may just lead to these people actually being abe to afford all that gear.

L2K series is so awesome. Ive loved them since I first heard one years ago. It’s the sound of the old Helmet records and it can go anywhere, even into full Jazz/fusion mode if you want. The best part is how easy they are to mix. Zero effort, which means I can use flats on them and still get a slap sound that works well in modern music. Highly recommended.
