lol, that's an understatement!
IMO, they do certain things and they do them well. I think they are probably comfortable with their existing product line and are not looking to dabble in the sort of niche markets that my modded bass would be appealing to.
I do feel they have significant room for improvment in the 4003 & 4004 series though. Multiple faults exist that could be corrected w/ little impact to the look & heritage of the instrument.
