Not much to add here. Great review. Welcome to the family Jim.

One thing -- the Alder body IS chambered under the quilted top. I
believe they are chambering all of the alder bodies these days. Nice to
get such a deep full, bottomy sound out of such a light bass, huh??

Hi Chad-

Thanks so much for reading it, but also for pointing the way! I think
you are right about the alder, I recall having read it on the old
Sadowsky webpages.

Yes....the sound. Now I want a club rig that can do it justice!
I'm gassing for a big Crest and a demeter and a bergie and and and...:help:

Oh well. I must admit I am really happy right now and feel very
fortunate!!! :D :D :D

Thanks!!

YES...I need a 5 and a fretless....damn, now I AM being bad! :ninja: :ninja:

I love the look of your bass, as I am a P-bass lover. I'll bet that soap
bar sounds great, and that your bass can do a lot of very rich, quiet,
and punchy tones. How are you liking it?
I LOVE my P-Bass, it's Thuper, thanks for asthking!:p

The soapbar was something I was a little concerned about, but I really love it. It can be slightly modern aggressive growl and bark, but with the VTC, it can be smoothed out very nicely.

It is very resonant and has a very porous (to borrow your words) Madagascar rosewood FB.

I too want (no, I NEED) a 5 string Jazz and a fretless! LOL!
