My Situation

Also another thing I think about is what if she just made a mistake? She has told me she is sorry for what she did, even though she hasn't stopped and is going to be talking to this guy, but she has told me sorry. What if she is the one and she wants to get back together and I ignore it? There's so many people who have 1 or 2 messups but go on and stay with each other. Take her parents for example. Her mom cheated on her dad when they were around our age, but they have been with each other for 40+ years.

Let me give a little info about this guy too just to make the situation more clear. He works at Dominos with her delivering pizza. He is almost exactly like me. He plays bass, he likes metal, he has tattoos, he has a beard, he's a big guy, etc. Another thing about him, is that he has a girlfriend who he has been with for a year. Now I have asked her numerous times if she liked this guy, she always told me no. I asked her why she lied to me about liking him after all that stuff had happened and she told me she wanted to make herself believe she didn't because she loved me and wanted to make our relationship work.
she did make a mistake. she ended a relationship with a guy who loves her. let her learn her lesson man. IF SHE DID IT ONCE, SHE WILL DO IT AGAIN.

she tells you she is sorry, because she knows what she is doing is wrong, but it makes her feel better by doing so. there also has to be more to this that she isn't telling you. girls don't just end 4 year relationships/6 year friends ships just because she is talking to some dude. either she already had sex with him and felt bad about cheating on you, or this is just an excuse and she just don't want you anymore.

and hearing that her mother did the same thing, maybe she thinks you will be a sucker like her father was. if my girlfriend of 5 years did this, i'd be out having sex with moms....

This is like torture. I can't even sleep without thinking about her. Last night a talkshow was on and they were talking about monogamous relationships and cheating, so that made me have a dream about it.
There are other things that smell like fish in the sea. :p Better now than 10 or 20 years from now when one of you looks back and says what the hell were we thinking? You've just been freed from many years of regret that are likely to happen in a case like this... You're 19. You've got lots of life in front of you. Lots to experience. As you mature your idea of love will change and you'll see tha twhat meant the world to you at 19 is lot different than at 25 and 30 and so on and so forth.

Go get some. You'll be glad you did. Nothing's stopping her from getting it whether she is sorry or not.

Dude. You're nineteen. She did you favor. At your age it's about QUANTITY not QUALITY. Hit as much as you can and hit it often. Even if you don't want to you, you have to push through it like an athlete and hit it again. Then when you think you're done, hit it once more just for good measure. Don't get wrapped up in the drama chicks. Learn to turn their voices into white noise, and only filter out the parts that you can use to get their clothes off. Sound shallow? DAMN STRAIGHT!!!!!!! QUANTITY. QUANTITY. QUANTITY. QUANTITY.

I don't see how the advice to turn yourself into a doorknob is going to make you feel better, but it seems to work for a lot of the dudes around here. The rewards of maintaining a meaningful relationship are not worth the effort for some guys I guess, so they prefer to just whore themselves out for the instant physical satisfaction.

She may come back, but don't put your life on hold until she does. After your get over the broken heart, you will have more objective in this. Until then, occupy your time with friends and family who do care about you.

sex feels good
lots of sex feels really good
more importantly having sex with new girls who make you think less of the old girl.

any questions?

It hurts. It ALWAYS hurts. It doesn't matter if you're 19 or 69, when you give your heart to someone and they can't return the love, it's horrifically painful. However, the pain WILL ease over time. Not today, and probably not tomorrow, but it will get better. The first thing (IMO) is for you to figure out how to live by yourself. Celebrate your single-ness by doing things that YOU enjoy doing purely for the sake that you can without having to consider someone else's feelings. When the time is right to get youself out there, you'll know it. When it is, refer to Maki's advice.

ps, did you sex up that hot chick who likes you yet?

i expect stories by monday.

I haven't decided if I want to yet. She's a slut, and has had sex with so many guys its unreal. She also has a boyfriend (then again she always has a "boyfriend") and she also dated one of my friends for a long time and broke his heart by cheating on him. Funny little world we live in...

I don't think im going to go through with it. Too many reasons against it.

I just hope that my girlfriend will get back with me.

Sluts need loving too.

Kick her to the curb, dude, cause she doesn't respect you! If she respected you then she wouldn't have lied to you. Respect and loyalty are the most important things for me in a relationship.

+1000

...try being with the perfect woman of your dreams for 13 years of marriage, then she walks in to the club you're gigging at between set 2 and set 3 of a 4 set night, and announces that she has packed her stuff and moved in with her sister, and wants a divorce. No prior discussion, no warnings whatsoever.

I'm gonna tell you the lessons learned from that and the experience that followed (2 years of trying to "fix" things):

Ditch the b****.

**** her.

And if anyone I'm with ever again tells me that she wants "out" of a relationship with me, I will show her the door that moment, and in the next, I will have another one coming in the other door. I won't waste another second of my life chasing a woman that has turned her back on me, and you would do well to adopt that same philosophy, and do so now.

Move on, move right on top of the next one in line. And if she blinks/nods/farts/coughs at the wrong time, move on again.

Eventually, the RIGHT one will show up, until then, you should look for Miss Right Now, and as soon as you can.

The LAST thing you need to do is allow any thought of getting back together with her.

Change your mindset - she's not a "slut", she's "experienced and energetic". If you go there, you can't go in looking for love, just a good time on the rebound train. And, if you do, be sure to laminate.

There's a few lessons to be learned here, and it's best you learn them now because at your age the tuition is cheap. As you get older, the tuition goes up steeply.

Lesson 1 - Don't put all your emotional eggs in one basket.
Don't let someone else be the sole source of your self esteem, hope for the future, and happiness of the present. If my wife left me, I'd be devastated for sure. But, I have my faith, my friends, my work, my business, my hobbies, etc. to pull me through. Look at it this way, you just got the keys back to your mental home and you get to furnish it the way YOU want to. You may thank her for it.

Lesson 2 - Pick yourself off, dust off and keep going.
One sure way to plunge deeper into depression is to dwell on it. Humans are creatures of habit, and you do not want to develop a habit of being depressed. Develop other habits that will bring you into a better state of mind. Being depressed does neither you nor anyone else any good. If you need help, seek it. If you can do it on your own, do it. Either way, DO SOMETHING!

Lesson 3 - No self respecting woman wants a groveling loser.
If you want her back, you have to be the best you can be. The EMOesque romanticism of a depressed lover that grovels over their loss fades once real life sets in and bills need to be paid, work needs to be done, and real fun is to be had. Groveling, losing hope, having self pity, etc. doesn't make you attractive to anyone worthwhile. All you are doing is dropping the value of your stock.

Lesson 4 - The best revenge is to live well.
Live well my friend. Live well, live long, and prosper. She may decide that she wants to come back when she sees how well you are doing. But then, you are in a position of strength and YOU get to decide. More than likely you will decide that your "new" life is much better than the old one. So get out there!
