Awesome! Great to see kids involved in something creative that takes practice and dedication, especially when they take off as quickly as he is.

I miss those days with my son (he's 21 and a junior in college now).

LOL! My daughter started out playing euphonium! She's now the bassist for her high schools' jazz band, and has been playing bass in jazz since middle school. They just had a performance last night in fact, and of course they shone above all other bands that were there.

Very cool. Nothing better than seeing our kids get involved in music.

I totally understand the proud-dad thing. My son also played bass in his school jazz band. It really helped get his chops up. He went on to become a very talented musician. He's 39 now and for the past 15 years has been my lead guitarist.
