My take on a custom "P-Bass"

Sweet! Take photos of everything you can, and remember, I have three basses in this batch! :smug:

Thanks, Tom.

There were only about 4 rough cut bodies today so nothing more on your basses at the moment. Much more pics next week probably. However, here is my body. Its Primavera with a small center block of Flamed Maple and Ebony veneers. Originally it was going to be a one piece body, but it wasn't quite big enough. I usually dislike center blocks on basses because they are too big and distracting, but this one is perfect size wise and subtle.

Bass will be natural finish (which should make the wood really pop) and the fretboard will be Ebony. This will be a 5 string.

Wow, that looks great! Pete told me about that one, and he sounded really excited. I think it's going to be a great body!

Yeah, I knew you were going for the quadcoil thing, I like that idea. I was thinking of an almost identical bass, passive and all, but with a strat-style five-way switch for the quad. From positions 1-5, it'd go: both neckside coils, j-style, regular p-style, full humbucker, reverse p-style and both bridgeside coils, j-style, respectively. I'm not sure if that's at all possible, but it'd be an interesting addition IMO.
