I'm not sure how to classify this... I just got my Schecter back from the shop. I had them rout the body and cut a new pickguard to fit a 2nd humbucker. Dual Aggies with an OBP-3 (will install the preamp this weekend)

    Before and after:

Guitar Repair of Tampa Bay did a great job with the routing and new pickguard. I'm really looking forward to finishing up the wiring and giving it a test drive.

Then perhaps a heads up to the neighbors…and local law enforcement.

  12. If I had to guess, that would be considered NMD (new mod day) and so it is and congrats on a fantastic looking mod to your Schecter. I very much like those dual Aguilar humbuckers instead of the humbucker/jazz configuration.

Looks good. How do you plan to wire it? Do you have a rotary switch to change the coil configurations?

The Aggies only have 2 leads, so not a lot of options there. The OBP-3 has a mid shift switch that can be wired to a blend pot to act as a mid sweep, so I'm gonna try that out. I've read mixed reviews about the results, tho...

So the config is gonna be stacked V/V, stacked B/T single mid and single mid sweep

Great looking bass and I'm with you on the dual Hs! The walls will shake.

  18. @OP, I'd love to hear how this sounds. Please post some audio clips once you've got everything wired.
