big +1 here. i have a "silverface" Coliseum and it is a beast in every possible way.
My Crossover knob does slightly affect it even with only one cab, and i am not using any of the crossover outputs.
Sweet New rig! My buddy (a guitarist) has one and I've gotten to play with it a few times. They sound sweet!
I'm just wondering what could fall off that would prevent the amp from putting out it's full power?
I did notice that the input overload light never came on......no matter how high the gain was set or how much I attacked the bass.
I'm wondering if it's something with that?
Everything seems to work just fine.....just loud talking volume when the amp is cranked.

Yeah, mine does that too, I've never been sure why. It gets noticeably thinner with the crossover knob up, but once you turn it back down it's fine. I guess it's just a weird quirk of the design.
Compressor on or off, doesn't matter.
(I can get the compressor's "active" light to blink)
gain switch on or off and the gain maxed out.......no overload lights.
I can also get the power amp limit light to flash too....but it's still quiet. I doubt I could wake up a sleeping baby with this thing.

Make sure all of the connectors on the switching jacks on the back are good... all the "Effects out" and crossover stuff like that. Might be a dirty connection.

The "thing" inside rolling around was snapped off screw and nut. It was one of the ones that hold the fan/tranny down.
Otherwise, it's dirty, dusty and overall old....but I don't see anything inside that would indicate any issues?
I'll clean the jacks when I have time........if that doesn't work, I'll have to take it to a tech.

Ah. Just be glad yours wasn't DOA like mine..... 
Give it a good cleaning! Took me a good hour or two to clean mine thoroughly.
