NAD! SVT content, from my post Cheap SVT

2011 made in China, in GREAT shape. $603 (U.S.) $799 CDN. 2 tiny dings in the tolex, and one missing knob.
I sparked it up, fan good, no noisy pots, shook the connectors, all the tubes glowing evenly. all OK.
Grabbed a MIA jazz bass, and Holy Dog! Sounds just like an SVT should. With the master on 2, and the gain on 4 I shook the foundations!
I took it to the counter, and re-affirmed that it had a 30 day return, and 90 day warranty. The manager said he'd throw in the 1 year warranty ($120 reg.)
I've wanted an SVT since I was 12 years old.
I have a gig Sunday, can't wait!! It's on top of my 2 GK Neo 112's.

Easily the best amp I have ever played on. I am so much glad to get pretty much close with my svt3pro but I am still in the market for the CL. What an amp.

I own a slew of boutique tube guitar amps- Suhr, Matchless...and a few vintage tube amps.
Thanks for the reply tho' cause it's important for newbies to know. :)
Another heads up for class D owners- Always use speakon cables. It the tip of a 1/4 inch speaker cable touches ground, your amp fries.

^I have two 4 ohm Eden 4x10's in the basement. They used to be part of my outdoor rig. I only play places with great p.a. support.
Everything I buy has to fit in my Charger without scratching the leather:p

Thanks for the heads up about class D. My new 2 12 does not have a speakon connection. Good thing I got in the habit with my SVT head of always hooking up the speaker cab before I even connected the power cord. I will continue to do the same with my PF 500. :thumbsup:

That's a good point about class D as well. I think many seem to think they are indestructible, but they aren't. It's good practice to plug in all speaker connections before ever powering up an amp, regardless of class, make, or model. Years of running tube amps have made this an involuntary action for many of us, but if it helps someone from frying an amp, it's worth it. My little Trace Elliott ELF can only take 1/4 from the speaker output, so it's very much a good practice to be in.
