Stainless steel round wounds with at least a taper core low B.
+1

My body chemistry doesn't allow nickel strings to last for long, so I've stayed with (and have been very satisfied) with stainless steel rounds. My main bass has piezo elements on the bridge saddle and I do not wish to file it wider to accommodate a thicker string. This, along with the benefit (for me) of lower action, I implore you to look into a tapered end string after releasing a stainless string.:hyper:

I put an order in yesterday night and I'd be willing to cut some samples of the strings on my Carvin B4 at the least. I went for .30-.45-.60-.85 to use for funk-rock fusion jams so just remind me to not dig in the whole time. (I haven't played on anything smaller than 45-105 in 3 or more years!) :cool:

I'm also willing to snap a couple pictures of the packaging for anyone who is still skeptical or wants to know exactly what they come in.

Yeah, that would be cool. Maybe if you have a gig somewhere here in town I could come see them in action as well.

Sadly, I'm now playing guitar in both bands that I'm a part of. That's what I get for being the jack of all trades. :bawl: I'm hoping to get a funk-rock three piece going around here with some really talented friends of mine. If that happens, we'll probably be playing out in a 2-3 months. In the meantime if you know of any good open jams around I'd certainly bring it out to one of them. :smug:

Hello fellow Low Enders!

I'm the Product Manager for Naked Strings (Invalid Link Removed). We make and sell high end bass strings directly to consumers. I have been in communication with a lot of players through this forum. So far, all of our strings have been Nickel roundwound over a hex core but we've received a lot of requests for Stainless Steel, Tapered B & E and Flatwounds. Well we are finally caught up on current orders and inventory and we're now ready to expand our line. So, I decided to let you guys (and gals) tell us what you want through the posted poll. Thanks in advance for your input! :bassist:
It is not on your poll list so consider this;
I would like to see stainless round wound, on a hex core, that has been burnished, not ground, like Markley FretMaster strings. I currently pay about $30/set + shipping for the FretMaster strings & use both Light (42 - 98) & Med. Light (46 - 63) gauges.

I think it would be cool if you:
A) put a string tension chart or calculator on your website
B) put a string tension chart or calculator on your website
C) put a string tension chart or calculator on your website

D) make strings in gauges that will allow us to order balanced tension sets!
