Nano Mark with 4×10 cab, anyone?

I have a markbass 410 4ohm cab and I would like to get a Markbass nano head for it. I've read positive comments about this head but most people seem to use it with smaller cabs. Has anyone tried to use it with a 410 4ohm? Is it going to be a good match? (For medium sized venues, pop rock styles).

well, if you already have the nano mark, it will work.

if you don't, a 500W LM is a more proper match, it's better to have extra power and not use it than the other way.

I own a LM head and two 8 ohm 210s (mine are MB58R Energy) and I find the head to be a perfect match with this setup.
with a nano mark it would be 3dB quieter. 3dB seems not a lot, but it's a difference between a 4 ohm 210 and a 4 ohm 410, for example.
so if you need a 410 anyway, you might want a more powerful head.

You will get the full 300 watts RMS @4 ohms so that 4x10 should play very loud. Plenty for medium sized venues.

It should work fine, but if you're bringing a 4x10 already you probably aren't in a situation where an ultra-small rig is necessary, so for me I'm not sure I see the benefit of going for a micro head as opposed to any of the many other small/lightweight Class D heads that will give you 500+ watts in a package that really isn't all that much bigger, and you then would have the option to push the 4x10 harder if ever needed.

The only thing I see that would be an issue issue for me is hauling a 410 cab around to a place where you only need 210’s (which happens a lot more than one might think). Me? I went with two 8 ohm 210 cabs. 8 ohm cabs somewhat more efficient than 4 ohm cabs.

If I already had the head & aquired the cab I’d be inclined to give it a test run at least. If I was in the market for a head I’d prefer a little more headroom.

The Little Mark is a solid choice. I’ve been extremely happy with my Markbass Jeff Berlin Combo (Little Mark III head in the cabinet) & NY151 Extension Cabinet.

My other rig is a David Era Eden WT500 Highwayman & XLT 410 cabinet. That head would drive the hell out of your 410 as well.

I used to have that head many years ago and I stupidly sold it. I never found anything that sounded that good. I used to pair it with a SWR Goliath III 4x10. they're hard to find now and I should have kept that rig
I'm currently using a TC electronic BH 800. It's a cool head, but it's so neutral that it makes me think I might as well go straight into the PA and I'd get a similar result. Also, the 800 watts advertised are vastly exaggerated.
