NASTY Early 70's Fender Jazz

It's exquisite except for the seemingly mint pickguard on it. Aesthetically I just want it as worn as the rest, like Bobby Vega's (all things lead back to Bobby).

It would look nice naked (pickguardless) too!

The only thing better than the Fender logo screwed to the body would have been a Squier logo screwed to the body. There's no chance I would remove that thing.

Sorry to be That Guy but... wonder how this ended up in a pawn shop. Stolen from a pro who put all those miles on it? Or said pro fell on hard times? Whoever owned that was definitely not a weekend warrior/hobbyist/flipper...

1972 studying all the pics of it. No way a serial starting with 33 would go back as far as 69 or 70.

Personally, I would want to know more about who owned it. It looks pretty badly misused to me. Unless it has a proud history, I'd be worried about it's reliability/longevity.

Edit: Maybe I need to get my eyes checked. Why is the body beaten to heck, while the neck appears to be in pretty good condition? The back of the neck looks glossy, and the frets look brand new.

at first i hated that fender badge too, but i kinda can deal with it now. i'd leave it. why not.

the badass bridge makes a big difference- i would never dream of putting an original fender bridge back on there.

Could be a replacement neck? Although not that much newer given the TV logo decal.
