NBA Playoffs

I hear ya...here are my preferred scenarios:

1 - Magic win out, hang the Champ banner opening day next year (really looking forward to my football team FINALLY doing that in September! :hyper: )

2 - ANYONE BUT THE FAKERS WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Didn't the Fakers beat the Tragic in the Finals last year? I'm looking forward to a rematch!!! :D GO LAKERS!

A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste!

Dude, I love Shaq, but NO ONE is more gawky/awkward than he is, Dwight is a freakin' ballerina next to him!

;)

Shaq looks like a lumbering giant fool, Dwight looks like this tall, lanky kid who hasn't grown in to his own converse yet. At least to me.

And swinging the elbows, yeah, it's not the most kosher move, but enough players do it to where I wouldn't call it "dirty." More of a "trick of the trade

Yeah, kinda, but Dwight still ain't as clumsy as Shaq...I don't know if ANYONE that has EVER played in the NBA is...now, in junior HS, yeah, I do know a guy - ME! :hiding:

My thinking is that if you don't know that's coming when a big guy goes up and gets the ball, and you're STUPID enough to go into him when he gets on the floor...you deserve the headache you're about to get. If you're quick enough to get inside his elbow and poke the ball out, good for you, but you'd better be REAL quick! ;)

You probably have to take this with a grain of salt (who am I kidding an entire freaking salt mine) but when Tim Donaghy heard who is refing tonight, he advised the Magic to "dust off their golf clubs."

The most experienced guy is a convicted felon (and Joe Mauer's uncle).

Another is a former Los Angeles area high school history and English teacher. Maki - is this a good or bad thing for the C's?

The consensus is that these are guys that will let them play although Mauer is a little quick with the technicals which could bite the C's.

One thing that helped the Magic in game 5 were early non-shooting fouls called on the C's. If Howard gets called for one of his patented "flying elbows on the rebound" early in the first, it could have a similar impact on the game 6 and allow the Magic to take their well-deserved vacations sooner rather than later. ;)

Another will be KG - really not much of a factor in the losses, C's could use a big game from him right about now and I think he will deliver.

I take back everything I ever said about the integrity of NBA refs.

Bring on the winner of Lakers/Suns.

Well, my keys to the game didn't go exactly as planned - but my reptilian brain points to KG's first quarter foul on Howard as a turning point. The message delivered was "Not in our house" and the Magic (and the rest of the Celtics for that matter) heard it.

Nate Robinson. :hyper:

Vince Carter got 39 minutes? :eyebrow: :hyper:
