NBA Playoffs

As dirty as that last two point shot was, it was also lucky. If he hadn't made it, Artest would've been the guy who blew the game twice (there was no excuse for that three). The Suns had a disgusting second half. If they can do that again, Staples Center or no Staples Center, they'll be in the finals. If they had someone who could consistently be an aggressive rebounder, they would've won tonight.

I'm digging up my hat. Its official.

Suns/Magic final

;)

I love your (over?) confidence and willingness to tick off the basketballs gods.

As predicted - the NBA split the baby and recinded one of Perk's fouls so he'll play and upgraded Pierce's to a flagrant. It is the right call on Pierce and almost the right call on Perk (there is something wrong when a guy gets penalized for having his hand slip when helping a teammate up -) - the NBA where inexplicable officiating happens!

Davis might play - Rivers reported he seemed better yesterday - it will be a game day decision.

I thought the Celtics made decent offensive adjustments for game 5; if they'll need to make the right defensive adjustments if they want to win tonight.

I'm an atheist. I don't CARE about the basketball gods...or any others for that matter.

;)

Good, that's a fair shake, Perk didn't deserve the first T, and even the second was questionable, if you ask me. Pierce absolutely deserved the flagrant - it was obvious he was reacting to his frustration by lashing out at an opposing player. Seems the NBA addressed those issues correctly to me.

Whether he plays or not, I just hope Davis is OK. He's a good player, and more importantly, a good guy. I hated seeing him injured that badly, especially on such as freak accident of a play.

If the Magic are raining 3's like they were Wednesday night, they can make all the adjustments they want, won't matter. :D

If the Celtics don't win tonight, there's gonna be one hell of a party on Church St. Sunday! :hyper:

I'm looking forward to some root beer floats lol

Ha. Magic is doing better than I thought they would. I was expecting the Celtics to win it in 5, not so sure thats gunna happen. They will beat the lakers in 7, they are too good. Unless something happens to Kobe :hiding:

El Nasho rave: He is one of the most raw players in the NBA. I feel he kinda got stuck on a crap team, but they can't be to bad to get this far, as much as some people think... one person can't carry a team the whole way. But, yeah, him and Wade got that crap end of the deal. Plus I don't think I've ever seen someone with an exploded eye keep playing. Or any injuries he has gotten and still played, I watch some games and he's like suffering hard and drippin blood on the court but still goin hard. I'd love to see the Suns win it all, as much as I like the Celtics, we have enough lol. How many do they have? 0

Tommy, you'd better hope the Celtics finish it tonight, because if they don't, they'll be a part of NBA history on Sunday...a part they DON'T want to be remembered for!

;)

Don't be countin' your RB floats before they're poured...

:D

...and I'm with you on Nash, I almost wouldn't mind the Magic losing to the Suns in the finals if that happens...

...however, I'd much rather see the Magic win against the Fakers.

:hyper:

LOL ha We'll see. My boys will wrap it up tonight.

Y'know, I honestly don't get the "Howard is dirty" stuff...really...he's a big dude, he's kinda gawky sometimes, but intentionally "dirty", don't get it.

:hmm:

However, Wallace, yeah, he's an "enforcer" type with a big yap, and he IS dirty.
He doesn't stand out like Bowen (far from it, really), but his elbows get thrown around quite a bit. Shaq used to do the same (when he got rebounds....).
