It was a beatdown with the added agony of being a brutal-looking game to watch. The Lakers played with more intensity and were in control the whole way. The key in any 7 game series between evenly-matched teams is the adjustments between games (and if you really want to win - adjustments within games). Gasol abused Garnett; if that continues, we'll be lucky to win one. Fortunately, I don't see that happening again - KG has too much pride. Rondo didn't take it to the hoop, the Lakers bigs are good; but not so good that they should be unchallenged. The only positives that I could see is that Perk can control his emotions and the refs are looking to see who is involved in a down-low tussle before calling the double T; the Lakers appeared to coast abit when they got ahead by 20; if they decide to coast a bit in the next game, it could bite them. Although given that Jackson is 47-0 after winning the first, I'm surprised that the league is even going through the charade of playing a game 2 .

Yeah it was, but c'mon man! I don't care what Phil's stats are. This is Lakers/Celtics! Seen many and been to a couple! (BTW, my sister lives in Newton)Any weakness in any one game will be jumped on, followed by adjustments in the next game!

Six or seven. Kobe really better want it bad.

I wouldn't wager anything that could render you homeless. I just got rid of some relatives visiting so you can't stay with me:D

boy, am I mad I missed this game. I only saw the first quarter (had to leave) but just in that first quarter, I saw a determination in the Lakers' bigs defensively that I have never seen before. They were just jumping on everything like a wolf pack. Everyone had one eye on their man and one eye on the ball in case Rondo drove. I was still surprised to come home and see the lopsided victory, though

[DEL]I haven't seen Drew Brees in here for a while.....[/DEL]

sorry, man, I Just had to do it

This series is not even close to being over. Having said that, the Lakers totally outplayed the Celtics! Pau Gasol was not Gasoft!!! If they continue to play with the same intensity on both ends and Kobe keeps taking the ball to the rack-unlike 2008, when he was primarily a jumpshooter-the Lakers will win the series. I'm a die hard Laker fan, but I must admit that Dr Jeckyl can take over at times. If Mr Hyde continues to run rampant, it won't matter what the Celtics do. Lakers 1, Celtics 0.

GO LAKERS!!!

A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste!

Celtics will win. I feel it. I just do.

I do too. But the ship needs to be righted, and it has to be next game - they don't have the luxury of two games to figure it out.

I suspect the Lakers will come out just as hard as they did in Game 1; and they will have something in reserve, ready to go, to offset whatever adjustments the Celts come in with.

That said, I guess the other positive is that as bad as the Celts played and as good as the Lakers played, it was pretty close until the end of the second period.
