NBD!!!!!!! 11 String Multiscale Extended Range Prometeus Bass! (Extended-Range Content)

I will admit right up front that I would never have one of those - I have trouble with a 6 srting guitar, for god's sakes - but, purely in the quest for enlightenment - why 11 strings?? As opposed to, say, 12? Please enlighten this poor old Rockabilly 4 string player...:)
A lot of it is balancing desired range with playability and comfort in the hands. OP possibly didn't want a string higher than the little Eb or lower than the seismic C#.

The other fella got it head on. I didn't want a string with that much added tension.

Yep. A .007 tuned to Ab @somewhat less than 32" might work but then again it may be inherently too tight, at around 20# - the multiscale should have been adjusted for a shorter treble-side scale for such a thin string. Also, under sweaty hands like mine it would probably liquefy in a matter of hours...
Conversely, about having a low Gb tuned to (a hair under) 13 Hz... you can tap your fingers as fast as that fundamental! And, without very special amplification, you'd only get sound from the 3rd, 4th or even 5th harmonic up...

Sorry if this is an un-welcome necro...

But what is your review on the quality of the bass? How's the finish and intonation and fretwork? Is it solidly built?

The quality of the instrument is excellent. Considering this was my first extended range instrument, I'd probably make the same decision in the future. Maybe adding active equalization or a piezo pickup.
The workmanship on the buckeye is very smooth, and there are very few blemishes in the wood overall. Finish is nice. A very light natural finish. Intonation is also good, but the fretwire has since adjusted and begun to push out on the bottom. A bit of a nasty sharp surprise. But I'll file them before too long.

So, it does go to 11...

Cool instrument, I have no inclination to naysay, perhaps the disconnect is the term "bass" which is kind of like calling a piano a bass - maybe "electric harp" is more accurate, but whatev - see you in the space lanes, Captain...

Awesome! I'm planning on ordering an 11-string Prometeus in the next few years (when I've saved up enough) and I just wanted to make sure his builds are good quality.

I’m casting a necro spell on this thread to resurrect it, zombie alert. I seen you were online as recent as today, otherwise I wouldn’t dare. How has the low C# worked out (assuming you still have the beast)?
Hey there!
The C# isn’t bad. It makes a nice pedal tone overall, but I wouldn’t call it much of a “solo able” string. It has a really nice sound overall so it really fits nicely while I’m playing on the other strings.
I tried damping the sound but honestly the open string sound is pleasing.

I, too, am curious (morbidly curious, in the case of a necro'd thread?). I could never handle such a fabulously stallionesque beast of an instrument, but respect it and its wielder greatly, and know that there's potential for really unique and awesome music therein.
I think you’d be surprised! It’s not nearly as overwhelming as it might feel when you look at it. Once it’s in your hands it’s a different story for sure.
