NBD: 1973 Acoustic Control Corp Black Widow

So I bought this bass about a month ago. I'm loving this thing so much I thought I'd share. I've been searching for one of these for a while now and struck gold when I found one (mint) through craigslist nationwide search. Purchased from the original owner. It came shipped in the original shipping box, original case, along with the original warranty card and catalog from 1973! Like it had been in it's own private time capsule. I had it set up by TB's JohnK. Plays super nice...

Yup. I believe they used the same knobs as on the 150b and 360. They were only in production from 1970-1974, with no more than 1,000 made (combined bass and guitar). Jimi Hendrix played the guitar version.

Man, if I wasn't seriously happy for you I'd be throwing raspberries, , your way in fits of jealousy. That, however, is too amazing. Four decades old! A museum piece, that's begging to be played.

Now start "relicing" it in the traditional way, being as careful with it as possible, but nonetheless still getting nicks, bumps and scratches over its next 4 decades.

That one can't be played it goes back in the box don't even look at it for long periods of time it's too perfect and you will never find another one that good the folks at Acoustic don't have one that nice.
