Damn! Great color. And while I'm not usually one for glitzy or loud finished (my #1 is mahogany finish in satin)
that champagne metal flake with gold hardware drops my jaw ;-) What a great collection you have there.

Ha! As I was looking at these photos I recalled a TVR Chaimera I had for years. Halcyon Atlantis - Shimmering blue from one angle, green from another. Great car. Nice bass!

Just got this bass last night so I didn't have much time to put it down to take some pics. This is a new Stingray Special, I believe it is 1 of 5 made in this colour-shifting finish which looks like a blueish purple to maroon, to a bright orange depending on the viewing angle and lighting. Very cool.

Plays and sounds great and compliments my other SR Specials quite nicely as this one has a rosewood fb compared to my others which have ebony and roasted maple for their fretboards.

Music Man calls it Plumpkin - it goes from plum to pumpkin is where I guess they got that from.

I LOVE it.

Stingrays are the best when they're oddly, atypically colored. Some of my favorite Basses I've ever played (but sadly was too broke to afford at the time) have been strangely colored Stingrays... the Ferrari sparkle red/clear pickguard 80's model that a local used shop had was in the top three basses I've ever played

Nice, my one stingray hh is the dd3 with a matte finish but I do really like the color shifting dd2. I think they called that finish carmel apple delight.

That's a good idea, I just might look into that. If I do, I'll probably go with clear but a mirror is a cool idea too.
