NBD - Colour-shifting!

Just got this bass last night so I didn't have much time to put it down to take some pics. This is a new Stingray Special, I believe it is 1 of 5 made in this colour-shifting finish which looks like a blueish purple to maroon, to a bright orange depending on the viewing angle and lighting. Very cool.

Plays and sounds great and compliments my other SR Specials quite nicely as this one has a rosewood fb compared to my others which have ebony and roasted maple for their fretboards.

Sorry about all of the pics, just trying to show the colour-shift is a bit hard.
Looks like you hit the jackpot with that one! Color "shift" me green with envy! Congratulations!

What is this color/finish called, officially? It's beautiful.

From Wikipedia: The paint system (and competing versions made by other companies) are known by a wide variety of proprietary names, including ChromaLusion, ChromaPremier, ColourShift, Exclusive Line, Extreme Colors, Harlequin Color, IllusionColor, Maziora, MultiTones, MystiChrome, Interference Fireglow and Paradis Spectrashine.

In the bicycle business (Santana Tandems in particular) it's called Shade Shifter. :)
