NBD Day! New Stingray!!

I've been looking for a lightweight Ray for a bit now. I have bought and returned two of them online. The last return was because I wanted to make sure I got the lightest I possibly could. I think I did. It weighs 7lbs on the nose! Stoked. Not necessarily my color choice but it's not terrible. Weight the biggest factor.
Absolutely stunning bass! And 7lbs to boot. Congrats!

That neck is amazing. Congrats dude!

The finish is just lovely. That's the Burnt Amber?

How do you like the frets?

They call this one “Lava Burst”.

For the most part the frets are great. I’m getting a wicked buzz at the 6th fret on the E string. I can’t seem to adjust it out. I’m hoping it’s just high fret or something. Other than that everything else is perfect.

WOW, congrats! I ran into these Lava Burst basses the other day while doing some GAS-induced searching. Apparently these were a special run just for Willcutt and they only made like (10) 4-strings and (1) 5-string if I'm not mistaken. I think I speak for everyone here when I say I'm SUPER jealous!

EDIT: Looks more like (15) 4-strings, but still ultra special!

No neck dive whatsoever.

I tried a little bit heavier guage E (actually what I normally play) and that seems to help the buzz. It pretty much eliminated it but not completely. Could this be from a low fret?
