NBD - Is this the blackest bass ever?

Brubaker JXB (first one in black built)...

Needs to be painted with this to be the blackest...
I have a small 150ml bottle of this stuff that I want to use on a future project bass. Just gotta figure out how I want to incorporate it.
Ya know, I'd be tempted to finish a whole bass with that stuff, blacken the frets, everything... and then slap a set of neon green strings on it. Under the UV lights, I bet that would look amazing.

As would, say, a black pickguard with a red outline. Or something like that.
Blue Talon - That "black pickguard with a red outline" is what started this project... I saw a picture of a Japanese Fender "Noir" - It was all black with a red Fender logo on the headstock and a pickguard as you described...
Only those are expensive ($1000+) and rare - so I kinda went off and did my own thing with NO red highlights.
Thanks for your comment -

D-A-N-G - - That is beautiful. I love EVERYTHING about it. Could I get a pic of the headstock? I may have to declare you the winner. I see and accept the exposed brass ferrules on the strings. What a beauty.

It is not mine  The headstock does carry the maker's brand in the form of a silver logo, so you're still a serious contender...
Have fun : Biarnel Prassi NeroNeroNero, blackest bass in the world - Biarnel Liuteria

So, reconsidering a black mate pickguard? ;)

Thanks for the pictures - a beautiful bass top to bottom. Interesting bridge too. I wish that Brubaker logo was more in the open instead of behind the strings because it too, is pretty. If you don't mind my asking what's a bass like that worth?

About the black matte pickguard - - - It would have to be interesting...like the textured black satin guard on the Brubaker you showed me. Maybe - But I liked the dark tort and I was concerned about making any pickguard fit the Harley Benton... I don't know if they have "standard" parts - although the EMG pups fit in nicely. So I painted out the "Ply" look of the guard edges and it seems (to me) to nicely blend into the body.
Nice talking with you.
What do you own and what do you play?
