Hope everyone is well or at least in good spirits. New bass day today! (complete anyway).
I started a minimal thread on this assembly if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Jazz bass assy/build opinions please...

Very stoked with this bass, it went together super easily. Basically a Classic Vibe 60's Jazz from parts and using a 70's blocked and bound neck. Weighs 8.8lbs

Vintage threaded saddle bridge,
CV pick-ups, Highway One tuners, parchment guard and added a tug bar, strung up with boomers. Thanks for looking!

Glad you think so, I did a poll on a couple different necks for this color body, this was the one that a majority thought worked best.

Blue IS my color, but blocks, let alone BLACK and BOUND blocks. Left to myself, I would have said mother of pearl blocks with no binding. I am genuinely surprised at how much I like this.

I hear ya on the m.o.p I agree, this seems to work and the mock up looked good to me, the necks were what I had already so with some encouragment from other members I just kept goin with it.

Really cool. Daphne blue is one of my all-time fave colors. Great choice for the neck and binding, etc. Looks like it was great fun to build.
