1980 Odyssey which was a Vancouver Canada company with Atilla Balogh (RIP) at the helm. This is the B100 which retailed for around $1000CAD in 1980. Solid birdseye maple , its a lug at close to 12lbs, it easily has 2lbs or so of proprietary brass on it with Grover Wavys being the only outsourced hardware. Bartolini pickups, passive wiring. kind of a hybrid between a Paul Reed Smith and a Rickenbacker. I always found them beautiful and spent the last several years looking for a nice one at a decent price. Found this old girl in the UK a few weeks ago and she arrived this afternoon

Absolutely KILLER lookin' bass! Ya just gotta love the herringbone binding. Nice score! Now that I'm aware of them, I'll be on the lookout for one for myself.
Super find. Looks like a lot of time and effort went into making that bass. Beautiful.

All that brass brings back memories... I started building solid bodied electrics in 78, through necks fancy woods, brass nuts, bridges, knobs, yeah, all hardware was brass, bar tuners. Never found anyone making brass tuners... (probably just as well.

what a unique find --- it has 'luxurious' looks and accouterments --- sweet! congratulations on your new instrument! 
Not a fan of 'bursts usually......... but this one has me droolin'. Just beautiful.
I've never seen anything like this before... I'm usually not a big fan of transparent bursts, figured woods and any hardware that isn't nickel or chrome, but this is so gorgeous. There's a subdued elegance to this that you just don't see in many "boutique" styled instruments. This is a really, really great score!
